Types of Renewal Bodywork:

Relaxation Massage

Nurture and pamper your body and detoxify from stress derived from internal or external sources. I have twenty years experience providing California relaxation massage, a technique using firm flowing movements on the body, encouraging full breathing and letting go of tensions.

Fee: $75 for 1.5 hours
       $55 for 1 hour

  Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure

Gentle focused pressure on powerful acupressure points. This induces a deep state of relaxation, stimulates healing and presents an opening to new possibilities. The sessions are received fully clothed, face up on the table and do not use oil.

Fee: $70 for 2 hours
       $40 for 1 hour

Postural Exercises

Re-alignment of posture and strengthening the body improves your relationship with gravity. By following a program of simple exercises and easy yoga poses your posture can be improved and a more balanced state is achieved.

Fee: $40 for each program

Combination Treatments

Enjoy two types of treatment in one session to doubly enhance the relaxation effects. Postural Exercises prior to a relaxation massage or massages prior to a Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure™ session are available.

Fee: $45 per hour, minimum 1.5 hours

Travel Cost:

I will provide my services at your location at the fee schedule above plus a travel time cost of $20/hour each way.

My Place or Yours:

My centrally located room for sessions is warm, quiet and spacious and soft music may be played to help you relax. You will lie on a table designed for your comfort.

I will also travel to your home, office or other institutional or work place environment.

Please reserve early as it may take one or two days to book your appointment.

What to Wear:

For oil-on-skin bodywork the client is unclothed, however you may decide what amount of clothing you wish to wear for your own comfort. You will be properly draped during the session. For Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure™ sessions clothing is kept on and it is preferable that the person not wear jeans or clothing which restricts the breathing, encouraging relaxation.

What Gets Massaged:

We will discuss the desired outcome of your session. This will determine which parts of your body require massage. A typical full body session will include work on your back, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck, and shoulders. You will not be touched on or near your genitals, male or female.

What You Will Feel:

In a relaxation massage, your session starts with broad, flowing strokes which help calm your nervous system and relax exterior muscle tension. As your body becomes relaxed, pressure will gradually be increased to relax specific areas and relieve areas of muscular tension. You are invited to communicate how much pressure you would like and I will adjust accordingly.

In an Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure™ session points are held in pairs and typically people experience a deep letting go and relaxation as pairs of points are held in a specific sequence. The amount of pressure is the clients' choice and may be light or deep.

How Long Will You Need:

The full-body massage or bodywork session lasts for 75 minutes and an Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure™ session lasts between 1.5-2 hours. To increase the benefits of the relaxation you achieve, you are encouraged to keep your day or evening free immediately after a session.

During the Session:

Make yourself comfortable. Many people just close their eyes and completely relax. Others like to talk during their session. Feel free to ask questions about massage and Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure™ at any time during the session.

After the Session:

Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity that can last for days. Since toxins are released from your soft tissues during a massage, it is recommended you drink plenty of water following your massage.
